About Last War: Survival

Last War: Survival online is a free online tank shooter game where you hold a single road against an endless army. Your tank sits at the bottom of the battlefield and fires automatically while soldiers, armored troops, suicide bombers and boss tanks charge toward you from the horizon. You steer, you choose upgrades, and the cannon does the rest.

Choose helpful gates to grow your squad, dodge enemy attacks and spend your rewards on stronger weapons. Play on your computer, tablet or phone without downloading an app or creating an account.

How to play Last War: Survival online

1. Move the tank. On a computer, move the mouse or use A/D and the arrow keys. On a phone or tablet, drag your finger left and right anywhere on the battlefield.
2. Let it shoot. Your guns fire automatically. Position the tank under the thickest part of the enemy column to land the most hits.
3. Pick the right gate. Blue gates help you and red gates hurt you. Drive through the one you want. Shooting a gate with a number on it raises that number, so a red gate can even be turned blue.
4. Upgrade. Spend coins on in-run upgrades and gold on permanent upgrades in the Armory.
5. Survive. Enemies that reach your line damage the tank. Squad soldiers from gates take hits for you.

Last War: Survival game features

• Two complete modes. Endless Survival is a continuous horde defense game with long stages and optional upgrade pauses. Incremental Defense is a non-stop incremental shooting game where you upgrade on the fly and fall back a few waves instead of losing the run.
• Huge enemy waves. Wide formations stream down the road from the opening seconds. Periodic rushes increase the pressure, with hundreds of enemies over each stage.
• Nine enemy types, introduced gradually, from fast runners and shield bearers to elite marksmen, armored boss tanks and a towering giant.
• Changing battlefields. Desert, forest, snow and night-ruin roads, each with its own weather.
• Persistent progress. Records, gold, upgrades, medals and settings are saved on your device.
• Built for every screen. Play with a mouse, keyboard or touch controls, with sound effects you can turn on or off.

Weapons and upgrades

Fifteen upgrades shape your tank. Each one has a level, a clear effect and a cost that rises as you buy more. Every upgrade exists twice: as a cheap in-run purchase paid with coins, and as a permanent Armory upgrade paid with gold. Both stack.

Main cannon

Bullet Damage, Fire Rate, Multishot and Bullet Speed form the core of your firepower. Critical Chance and Critical Damage add big spikes of damage, Piercing Bullets let one shot pass through several soldiers, and Explosive Bullets add splash damage on every hit.

Extra weapons

The Machine Gun adds a rapid side gun, the Missile Launcher fires homing rockets that explode in crowds, and the Laser Weapon, unlocked in the Armory, sweeps a beam straight up the road that ignores enemy shields.

Survival and economy

Maximum Health, Armor and Health Regeneration keep the tank alive, while the Coin Multiplier increases both coins and gold from every kill.

Infinite waves and bosses

There is no final wave. Each wave brings stronger, faster enemies and larger crowds. A boss tank arrives 40 seconds into each stage and shells your position; every fifth stage a giant boss hurls boulders and calls in reinforcements. Bosses grow angrier below half health, so save your best buffs for them.

When the climb gets steep, use Rebirth. After wave 25 you can trade your gold and Armory levels for medals. Medals permanently multiply your damage and gold income, so each cycle goes further than the last.

Tips and strategies

• Buy Multishot early. Doubling your bullets is the biggest single jump in the first waves.
• Squad gates are worth chasing: every soldier adds firepower and blocks one enemy that reaches your line.
• Fire a few bursts into a red gate before choosing. A few seconds of shooting can turn a penalty into a reward.
• Shield soldiers absorb bullets from the front. The laser ignores shields, and explosive bullets help chew through them.
• Kill bombers early. Their blast hurts other enemies, but if they reach you they hit three times harder.
• Keep a kill combo going. Long combos add up to 50% more coins.
• Spend gold between runs. Permanent damage and health make the early waves fly by and leave more coins for later.
